The piece can be removed from the backside of the card with a 00 Phillips Screw Driver. Here is the card mounted, antenna leads in place with the black retaining screw also in place.

Also, there are 2 antenna wires that need to be connected to the card. This is more easily done if you have a forceps tweezers since the connectors are very small.

When you go to do this, you will find that there are 3 wires numbered 1, 2, and 3 that are available. Wires 1 goes to the J1 connector on the card. Wire 2 goes to the J2 connector on the card.

Know your Mac Pro's Model

Wire 3 is not used, it's for Bluetooth. When you connect the antenna wires to the card you will first want to bend the wire with the forceps so that the connector on the wire lines up with the connector on the card. Next, using the forceps, position the connector on the wire directly over the one on the card and push down on the connector with your thumb until it snaps in place. You may have to rock it back and forth with your thumb to do this. It took me a few tries, but it eventually snapped in place.

Hope this helps the next person who has to do this installation. Perform really well on my mac pro 3. Be aware of the card type code to not disappoint you! This is 0x14E4, 0x8E which is good for older machines as mine, it's compatible to install sierra or high sierra on those machines. Thank you very much!     BTW, here is the information from my white MacBook which is similar to the article linked above but with newer firmware and 0x88 at the end of the Card Type instead of 0x I hoped that it give me wake on wireless, but unfortunately it does not. If the Mac Pro does support wake on wireless, then this would suggest that it is the Mac Pro that does not support wake on rather than the particular wireless card.
